Caregiving & End-of-Life

The experience of caring for my mother during the last years of her life profoundly changed me. It took me a year after she passed to feel like myself again, and then I began the hard work of processing our journey by writing my memoir, Walking Mama Home. I’ve found joy and purpose in walking with other caregivers through this challenging season. Now I volunteer at a hospice house, sitting vigil with the dying and being present for the living. It’s an honor to share this sacred space.
